I live bymyself, and im seeing how long I can not turn the heating on for.

I have cold showers ( their good for you - nothing wakes you better in the morning than a freezing shower).

House is currently 14 degrees not feeling cold with a light hoddy on.

Feet are slighly cold, will buy fluffy socks tommorow.

Energy company seem confused as to why i've only spend £7 on gas in the last 2 months.

Only worry is pipes freezing and clothes getting damp. Any ideas how to stop this ?

Is the 'living by yourself' bit something you have any ambition to see change in the future?

Make sure it's warmer by the time you get her home, else you'll be spending the money you saved on gas on her taxi home.

And that would be a shame.

I can think of plenty to keep a girl warm, such as providing a blanket. I have a nice furry blanket girls love that st

In the evening I tend to stick a fleece on and I'm fine, but I have to programme it to switch on in the morning or I won't ever get out of bed.

OP you live in 2011 with central heating so you don't need to live like a caveman.

I take particular pleasure in having the upstairs windows open, then strolling downstairs to a toasty warm house, I guess not the best for bills!
