Mercedes T204, 2008-now

I've had my T202 for years and am looking at getting one of the above now that prices are around half the new price. Even diesels are getting cheapish. Is there anything to particularly look out for in the way of problems?

If you mean the latest C Class estate (it's designated S204 now) my brother in law has ran one for 3 years now, has been faultless until a few months ago where the steering column/iginition barrel has twice developed a fault where the car simply won't start and has to be dragged onto a low loader back to MB.

I do think this is an uncommon problem as nobody at his local MB has experienced it before, and like I say apart from that it's been great and has worn well with kids, prams and cement mixers thrown in it. The C180 Kompressor engine is a bit gutless in it however, go bigger petrol or diesel IMO.
