Sounds good as I know......nothing about driving off the black stuff.Eddie
Tell me when you are heading out for a bash, save me a passenger seat and i'll be your guide for as long as you need me.

I'm hopefully getting a Defender soon for Winter and wondered if anyone else on here had a 4x4 that they use for off road fun?
Need to know the local green lanes and sites. Maybe a meet up once I've got my new toy!?

We have been to Slindon several times and Shoreham Cement Works a couple of times (my fave) just pay and play, very good fun. Need to know the local green lanes and sites. Maybe a meet up once I've got my new toy!?

You're over in Chi aren't you?
I used to be heavily into Landies and had a tricked up 90 for a good few years, I was a member of Shires and did some of the P&P sites, used to drive loads of the byways around Salisbury too, sadly thanks to the council, red socks and bobble hat brigade nearly all of Hampshires byways and RUPPs are gone!
This was my old bus! Started life as a 2.5 petrol until I gave it a 200Tdi transplant from a scrapped Discovery............

Sadly a very good friend and co-landie fanatic passed away at short notice and it just didn't seem the same after that.

Right, I now own a Defender 200Tdi. Been doing a few of the green lanes, a few in Churt, Frensham/ Devils Punch Bowl, Alton (Water Lane) and I'm on a pay as you play day tomorrow in Bordon.
Alton Lane seems to be the best around here.
Anyone know the routes in South East and fancy a day out?

Nice toy mate, only heard you'd got another set of wheels today, has this one got a heater?
Water Lane brings back a few memories, sent a group of runners down there one 'Summers' evening as part of a route I'd devised, got some grief when they all came back with wet feet

I've entered the luxury car market now my friend! (has that ever been said about a Defender!?)

It has a stereo, fitted roof, lockable doors, heater, a boot, room to move, 6, yes 6 seats.
I'm too pratical of late. It makes a good wagon to run people back from the pub in.
Polar opposites. A car designed primarily for off road, but does manage 70 mph on it if the roads long enough.
Then a car designed for the track, which only a nutter would use daily.
