Im in a bit of tough financial situation and have decided to downsize my small fleet.

One car and one bike has to go, my ZX6R has already sold, so now its just the 147GTA.

I had it on pistonheads and got a decent amount of interest, however after being messed around a few times i let the ad expire.

So to avoud the timewasters im considering webuyanycar. They are offering me £4500 which would cover the remaining fiance.

Do i take it and be gone with it, or just advertise it for 5k and hope for a quick sale?

Stephen.

Jesus mate!!! I've always wanted one - if I hadn't just paid out £4500 on vets bills I'd give you £5k for it!!

I sold mine quite quickly when I advertised it on here and alfaowner.

That was a couple of years ago and I haven't been keeping track of prices, but £5k seems cheap so it should go quickly.

I'm almost tempted myself.

What price was it for sale at?

You could try again at £1000 more than wbac offered you, they 'will' find faults with the car and 'will' charge you an admin fee for buying your car from you.

They will only find faults if you do not declare them when getting the price. I sold a car to the recently for £1000 more than Skoda offered me in PX. Very easy & pleasant experience.

Bang your reg number in here should give you an idea of where the WBAC value sits against a PX value.

5k's cheap for a 68k 147GTA. Where have you had it advertised? Have you tried the Alfa forums?

It's only 58k, with a new radiator, ECU, head gaskit, 330's, battery, top mount, coil packs, plugs etc etc etc.

I only had it advertised on here, but the timewasters have kinda put me off advertising it elsewhere.

Actually quite a strong offer going by the pistonheads classifieds, thought it was stormingly cheap until I checked the classifieds. How times change and just shows the impact of fuel prices.

...and who said alfa's were unreliable!

If you need a quick sale get it on eBay with a detailed description and lots of good pics. 10 day auction starting an Thursday night 99p no reserve.
I know you won't do it, but that's how you'll get the best result.

Couldn't possibly condone such devious behaviour.
