Never thought I'd ever come across one of these, but last night I happened to park opposite one in Kenilworth. Coincidence or not, an IQ happened to be parked next to it!

Spent a minute or two comparing them. IQ looks better from the outside to be honest, but the Cygnet interior does look rather nice. Not sure it's worth 3x the price though! Apologies for the crappy iphone photo!

Obligatory 'why does it have a Toyota badge?' comment biggrin

We saw one driving round at Le Mans. The proportions didn't look right but I prefer it to "Fiat 500 by Ferrari" or something similar.

I think it's 30k compared to about 10k for the IQ. It'll be interesting to see how they depreciate over the next few years.

Surprised no-one has commented on the parking of the silver Mazda? on the right hand side of the photo smile

The reason for that is because it is a Honda Civic nerd

Looks like the old passenger side to passenger side trick to stop anyone getting in!

IQ better looking in my view, but the interior is of course a nicer place to be in the Cygnet.

Not a fan, but if its the only way Aston can make V12 monsters these days then so be it.

Well, of someone wants a nice interior in their city car, good for them. They pay their money, they make their choice.

I think the IQ looks better but I am biased.
I imagine the inside of the Aston will look good.

The lower grill/ foglights are the same on both, just turned upside down on the 'Aston' and garnished with some Lidl's chrome effect strips rofl

Ah seriously though, diversity is great.

price-tag and the badge aside. I think the cygnet looks nice. We all know why aston is being forced to sell it anyway.

And it appears to be a poverty-spec one, judging by the fact the IQ has auto folding mirrors, and the Aston hasn't!

The ones on the brown car were fitted by Aston Martin, therefore they are broken. biggrin

I don't understand the "Oh god simply seeing that car has made me want to kill myself" reaction this car (and the Mini Countryman) gets. We know Aston is making it so they can dodge CO2 limits, and sales of this may well fund future projects, remember the short sighted Porsche fanboys who hated the Boxster and Cayenne?

I understand why AM make it -- just the cards the EU / US laws have dealt and that's how they feel they must react.

What I don't understand is why someone hating the Cayenne should be called "short sighted fanboy". Sure it made Porsche a lot of money, but it still is a very bad and ugly car which has no point and is bought by people with no taste or clue. I'm sure when we look back in 10 years time that it will be seen as the turning point to Porsche becoming just another luxury brand in the VAG platform sharing badge engineering setup.

Thank god AM is far from that sad end stil...

Has anyone made a Cygnet looking body kit for posers who don't have £30k to waste?
