Thoughts on the Z3M Coupe
Discussion
Hey guys,
My Tuscan is up for sale and I am thinking about the next toy, originaly my heart was set on a VX220 Turbo, that was until PH did an artical on a Z3M Coupe! Now my old man is tempting me to take a look into them.
So after some googling I have found that they are equiped with a 320bhp straight six and weigh in at 1400kg which is pretty darm heavy compaired to the Tuscan and VX however their sound track seems to be very plesent!
My main questions are what are they like to live with, can you go for a good old B road blast and have fun? Is servicing expensive and what are the costs of parts etc? The main thing I was looking forward to with the VX was the amount of aftermarket upgrades avaliable and this looks to be simular for the Z3MC, is it easy to get the car to be more track focused?
The only other thing I can think of is for my budget I am likley to get a VX with 20 - 30k miles but a Z3MC with 30 - 50k miles.

Your best bet is to go over to http://www.z3mcoupe.com/ and have a good look around. All your questions should be answered.
Haven't driven a breadvan but looked at a couple of M Roadsters. I funnily enough was coming from a TVR at the time!
They are quick cars but I found instead of the instant grunt of a Tiv they require high revs to extract all the power. Ultimately the Roadster wasn't for me but I'd have the coupe any day

As per above head over to talk to the friendly folks over at z3mcoupe.com
Mine's oem but plenty of Owners have upgraded their cars.
My overall impression from similar posts in the past has been that it can be done but if the main aim is a track focused car you're better off starting with a different car.
Or if you're set on an M Coupe buy one with all the uprated parts already on the car. ;-)
