Internal doors fitting -time&cost?
Discussion
Basically as the title says.
Need to change 5 internal doors as I'm slowly doing the place up a bit before I sell it in a year or two.
Intend to get some Wickes/B&Q specials (pine panel doors or similar)as I'm trying to keep costs as low as practical and was wondering how much would be reasonable to fit (including handles, latches, etc) and how long (I'm guessing a day? - sound reasonable?)
Based in E.London if that helps.
Anyone knowledgable able to answer???
Before anyone says it's easy and DIY - I have the remains of my one attempt in 4 seperate pieces in my garage

I got a local guy to fit 5 for me recently. He charged £40 per door and £45 if it had a lock like a bathroom door would. He arrived at 8:30 and was done by l:00. However I still had to mess around adjusting the bathroom lock as he'd left it binding (told me it was just stiff as it was new), plus I spent a good few evenings rubbing them down and putting on danish oil and wax as they were Oak.
I bought my hinges and stuff from Screwfix: Ball bearing hinges as the doors are quite heavy (why I got a chippy in to do ti for me
), which make a nice smooth action even if your doors aren't as heavy they were only about £3.50 a pair. I also bought their door handles and latches, but the latches creek so I'm replacing the one on our bedroom door for when my OH gets up early.
Doors are a bit deceptive as you initially just add up 5 times the cost of one door. But when you put on the hardware, danish oil, fitting charges it pretty much doubles the cost...Five doors cost me about £750 in the end, but they look great so worth it in the end.
