Stutter under boost

When I overtake in 5th gear I get a slight stutter as though the car is going to cut out. Only happened a couple of times and only when in 5th gear. Any ideas?

Check plug gaps as a starter, should be set to 30 tho.

It's on about .5

Hmm not enough boost to worry the plugs unless they are totally knackered.
Check fuel supply pipes to the pump and that the fuel tank is not under vacuum.

Is that it's max boost? Doesn't sound right to me.
I was going to ask if you've tried to do it in 6th also, maybe at the same revs. I'm thinking a coilpack on it's way out possibly.

The plug recommended is NGK BR7EFS. I`ve bought them from:

If the link doesn`t work go the website, click on NGK spark plugs from the drop down menu on the right of the page and these plugs are on page 3 priced at £2.24 each plus the usuals - and obviously you`ll need six.....
Make sure you gap them correctly.

How do you know how much boost it's running? And can 'one' turn it up?

the boost gauge on mine definitely is not as active as say, Deano's orange machine.
Cant remember seeing Tux's as we were going round Silverstone too fast!

If not the plugs it could be an air pipe collapsing and cutting off the flow.

Thanks for the link Bob, plugs ordered! Is there a good place to buy wheel bearings from? I have been quoted £50 plus vat, which feels a bit steep.

Yep GSF or any motorfactors. Look on the WIKI or Nobleparts for details.
