Alarm all silent...

Hi, I have a chim 96 4.0, just checking various things and noticed i can completely move around in my interior without the alarm going off. I lifted the console to adjust the sensitivity, it wasnt connected i connected it and now when i bang the car the alarm goes off, well the lights flash but no sound...Im sure the siren worked justa few weeks ago i set it off.

Is there any settings which may turn off the siren on a standard alarm??

My META alarm wouldn't sound either. I checked the sounder and found it had been unplugged

Plugged it back in and still nothing. I had to mend it with a new one. I think I paid about £60.00.
