Have been sent a new V5 but didn't request it.

Just been through today's post and have found a new style V5 on the door mat.

Are they just replacing the old ones or is there something more sinister afoot?

They are replacing them just to waste money

I thought they were replacing them due to a large number of blank V5s of the 'old' type being stolen a while ago which have are since being used to make stolen/cloned cars look legit?

It's to combat all the fakes after the theft from Swansea.
