How to remove brake pads?
Discussion
Try knocking the bar out with a piece of brass/mallet...once its unscrewed of course. Something that will not damage anything.
You can take the whole caliper off by undoing the 2 big allen screws, but cant remember whether you'll be able to get the pads out. Its straight forward to get it off. Make sure you dont let the caliper hang on the pipe.
You can see one of the screws facing you on this shot.
The top screw is just to the right and up slightly from the centre of this photo.
Hope this helps.

I usually soak in brake cleaner to get rid of dust before attempting to undo and then refit with copper grease so that they will come undone the next time.
Cheapest way to get it is to buy a 5 litre can for around a £10 and an aerosol spray as used by gardeners. Top up the spray as necessary. Lot lot cheaper than the aerosols.
Also clean out any dust from the calliper especially at the top and bottom as this can build up and cause the pads to stick.
