Graham suggests removing a lot of trim which bothers me a bit.

Is there a way in from underneath/a different method?

Basically the light only stays on if you hold the stick firmly in reverse.

Sounds like it just wants re-positioning. Not sure it if can be done from under the car, I did mine by removing the tunnel and the gar stick surround.

You can get to it from underneath the car with a long screw driver but it won't be as good as removing the tunnel etc.

No way

Get the tunnel trim out of the way, remove handbrake grip and gear lever topping and you are there. Costs 10 minutes.
From under the car you have no idea what you are doing and cannot test the finished setting properly.

that settles it then - I am assuming the roller blind housing doesn't need to be removed, Quentin?

Do you mean the switch itself? (Don´t know what you mean by roller blind housing in connection with a TVR...)

No, it hasn´t to be removed. To adjust you only need a long screwdriver to bend the switch holder a little. At least that´s the way I do it.

Now the penny has dropped...

No, you do not have to remove that. Just the center console. The back part is pushed under the roller blind housind, but is easily removed as soon as the two screws in the front are out. It takes a little manouevering until you hold it in your hands because of the handbrake and gear lever. Just be careful not to damage the leather surroundings.

But from my point of view adjusting is not that big job, Graham describes. Replacing the switch is another matter, but even that can be done as long as you are patient...

Easiest job I've had to do for some time. The reverse light is working well and the handbrake gaiter is now re-stitched.

Thanks for advice Quentin.
