There i am, driving along the Motorway at 60mph, lane one in a Fully Marked Police BMW.
I can see in my mirror a Golf GTI coming up pretty fast in lane 3.
As he goes past, i use the Police Pilot and this shows that this person is travelling at 99mph.
I then follow him and see that hes still travelling at 99mph for about 2 miles.

My patience is lost and i stop him.

The road was pretty empty in the grand scheme of things so hes got no excuse!

First of all he says that he didnt see me

When i ask him for his docs he produces only his Counterpart. This is very unusual because people mainly produce the plastic bit and we have to give them producers for the large A4 size Counterpart.

A Driving Licence check at the roadside shows thats hes only got a Provisional. BOOM, penny drops and thats why he hasnt produced the Photo bit.

I ask him about it which he states that hes got his practical next week and that hes getting some practice in

He then admits that hes got No Ins........FFS.

This person was reported and will have to explain to the Mags what he was playing at.

My job is done but this is just another example of people who basically dont give a flying s**t about anyone or anything.

Off for another beer now.

Thanks for sorting this guy out, Tony. Clearly does need some practice if he didn't see you!

Nah, it'll be a £20 fine and back in the car. Mags don't need common sense anymore, remember?

If they fine an OAP £100 for giving a V sign to a Talivan then I can understand why people like this chap don't have much respect for the laws. Abuse by one side will encourage abuse by the other too.

WRT to the, "Didn't see you!", an old mate in GMP told me (about 15 years ago) that he stopped one guy for speeding after following him in a fully marked Taffic car for over a mile and the chap said just that and denied he'd been speeding. My mate, notebook in hand, then said, "So I'll add DWODC&A shall I?" The chap put his hands up to the speeding offence - Streaky

If we are playing the game of getting real then how about this one....

The way he drives, HE WILL be stopped again...without doubt.
But this time he will be Disqual..and he will stand a chance of going inside.

People go on about driving whilst Disqual as being no big deal, but when youve expoerienced people in the Custody Suite, crying etc because the now realise that they are going to be eating poridge for a few months then i can asure you that it is a big deal.

Whilst im at at. He doesnt have to be an 'inexperienced idiot' to miss a Jam Sandwich. People do it everyday, even past Talivans and then they winge and groan, trying to blame other people for their own inadequacies.

This, sadly is the real world

This whole thing is why we need people to be MORE AWARE of the simple aspects of driving and common sense.

How about instead of those fking stupid "think" adverts, we get messages on how to use roundabouts or that all important "KEEP LEFT"!

Hopefully it will happen by 2310
