New crossover type car for mum. £15 - 20k
Discussion
So I'm helping the mother get a new motor. There are certain criteria and I've nailed it down to a few. There are conditions tho....
1) max 2 - 3 yrs old
2) has all the refinements
3) diesel
4) perhaps quirky?
5) must have 4wd option
She likes the Tiguan. I think they're too much for what they are. She also quite likes the
Juke but I've said they're a bit of a joke really so have tried to steer her away from that (excuse the bad puns....they're unintentional).
So, my top list is (in this order)
1) Yeti
2) Rav4
3) Honda crv
4) Tiguan
5) Ford Kuga
6) mini countryman 4d
The yeti has really really grown on me and gets amazing reviews.
Anything else or anyone with personal experience of the above?

What's wrong with the Juke?

I'm one of the few who likes those, but I'm not sure a £28,000, RWD BMW is quite fitting with the requirements
I'd be looking at a Forester or a Freelander 2. Both great cars.

Why does it need 4wd?
Cos my dad is paranoid like you wouldn't believe about the two days of bad snow were going to get this year and he couldn't move his Lexus off the drive last year. Not that he tried. Edit. After a chat with the father I've told him a few simples facts (namely that he's unnecessarily adding cost to the car for 4wd) and he seems to have dropped this as a requirement.
