My humble collection
Discussion
So, with it being only a handful of weeks since I said I'd never owned a watch, well now I own four!
I blame you lot...

Knowing very little about watches, I started with a regularly recommended one from here, the PCR200, this tends to be my daily wear:

Then I fancied something for the weekend (oo-er), so again, I went with a popular example, a Seiko 5 Automatic (and no, the pad is not mine, it's the wifes!):

Afterwards I wanted something vintage, something from my birthyear, a Rolex came to mind, but funds at the time did not allow... So I went in a different direction, being an aircraft nut, growing up on comic books like Commando and Warlord I thought maybe a military watch - and I found just that, a CWC W10 6BB (RAF model) issued in 1979, in stunning condition:

Lastly, arriving only yesterday - my first "expensive" wacth, bought as a heirloom/hand-me-down for my newborn son. I went classic (IMO) with a midsized Omega Seamaster Professional Planet Ocean:

No real point to this thread other than to share the love and thank people for their advice thus far. (Oh and test out my new camera!)

Infectious, isn't it?
It is indeed, 4 watches in a month, the last incurred "the look" from the wife, roughly translated to "I will inflict bodily harm if you buy another!"
So, next will be either a G-Shock for the tough work or something dressy, like a Visodate or a Christopher Ward.
I'm torn between a Max Bill or a Nomos Tangente too!
Decisions, decisions!
I'm not sure I could afford that challenge and the ascociated divorce!
My next tactic is to engage my father-in-law, as a watchmaker by trade and a BHI member, I'm yet to ask him what kind of discounts he can get me on new watches, and am yet to ask him to keep an eye out for nice 2nd hand models coming in to his shop!
