Afternoon,

I left the house today to find that some utter sweaty monkey scrotums that masquerade as people, had taken the evening off from trying to impregnate their sisters and decided to mess with my car. It apears that someone has emptied a plant pot on the bonnet and 'luckily' smashed the pot on the floor next to the car. Unfortunately they appear to have thrown or taken a shard and scratched the window right infront of the driver.

As you can see the scratched atch is about and inch and a half by an inch and is right there taunting me as I drive. Does anyone know if any of the repair places can do anyhting with damage like this? or woulkd something like the paste they use to polish watch glass be any use. Being not right in my field of vision I dont know if I can claim on my insurance

The plant pots live outside the neighbors door, I think it was drunk people walking past who probably took offence at the perceived seal killing nature of my car.

Drivers side was to the pavement, pot was smashed in road, so looks like it glanced off the window tipped its contents on the bonnet and broke on the floor. I suppose I should count myself lucky that It didn't wreck the bonnet too.

Nowhere else to leave my car and i'm stuck here for at least five years so guess it's wait until the next time it gets vandalised frown

There used to be a contractor who did some jobs for my company, he lived in High Spen in Gateshead, wish I could remember his name - he polished glass professionally and I'm sure he could probably have fixed that!

would try t-cutting it, if that has no effect then you will probably need to claim on windscreen insurance

Jewellers rouge is the stuff you need for polishing scratches out of glass... It's bloody hard work, but it can be done

Do a search on the web for it, it's not hugely expensive, and could well save your screen

Doesn't matter whether they know or not. Their plantpot, their responsibility. Tell them you will be sending them the bill for a new windscreen and compensation for your time. Yes.

Yes actually, it never hurts to ask around to see if anyone else had seen or heard the drunken hippies who hate 'seal killing' cars, someone might have seen them or know them as a plantpot smashing should have woken someone up surely?. What would you do? sit there in a seething rage and do nothing about it but pay for the damage yourselves? at least that way the poor bloke has a chance of getting somewhere with it. Got a better idea then by all means share it after all that's what he is asking for.

I just love the premise that if a plant pot goes missing from your garden there's a chance you will know the chap who threw it at a car.

You never know busta, might as well take the chance if you cannot cultivate any better options? what would you suggest?

I suppose you could just ask the neighbours if they'd seen or heard anything. Pretty groundbreaking I know...
