Courtesy of my pal Robert Grounds's excellent Flickr site, this is what wifey and I were up to last weekend...smile

We were marshalling on a classic road rally held in northern France. Keen eyes may notice our Boxster lurking in the background, which is as er, classic (er, sort of) as I like to get nowadays.

Whoops! Only just noticed that Robert, aka Threespires, has already posted this up another thread.

Over to you, mods.

Sorry.

Roof up :-
This was mentioned to those with roofs up.
One of the cars told me there was a medical problem which prevented top down.

Cheers. thumbup

Can I just add that I wasn't sitting down 'cos I was lazy, it was so as to be not to obvious to the competitors until we were firmly in their vision. smile

what with all of them(?) eek must be something to do with the material in the hood perhaps they should stick with vinyl hoods biggrin

their cars they can do as they chose . . . but it does prove stereotypes exist smile

I do know that one of the B's is driven by the wife and navved by the husband, and she prefers the roof up. One of the other roof-up Bs is crewed by Mark and Sue Godfrey, and they win almost every event they do (joint second on this one though).

When you have a navigator as good as Sue you do what she wants! smile

that's the thing with sports it's all to serious

my wife is an excellent navigator she can find the way to excellent old real ale pubs on any journey (Belguim bottled beer in France, although the French do their own version of real ale it's not to my taste)

we done the first Donor Card GT (and another one or two later) and couldn't believe how cruel this sport could be - check-in point inside a pub that wasn't serving eek

it was really interesting to see the different style of direction notes/tulips that the four veteran navigators done

even the Donor Card GTs were too much back-slapping, trophy giving, competitive sport and not enough charity raising for us

type of sport to attract mohair and double-duck hooded B owners smile

each to their own and I know I wouldn't be thought of highly by this group smile
