Theres one up for sale just round the corner from me.....

on k plate at a measly £850.

Is this as cheap as it seems or is this priced about right?

I know nothign more about it yet other than its blue!

sounds cheap they do like a bit of rust behind the seal covers and round the rear archs
but saying that for that money they are a good bit of fun i've had two of them over the years and loved it strip it out spend about 500 quid on a set of avo coil overs and you've got one hot handleing car

i saw one about 8 years ago at castle comb japfest going round the track better then cars with 4-5x the horsepower i spoke the man who owned it and he said no engines mods just some suspenison work and two strut bars was great to watch

I was in an E46 M3 at the Ring and had one come past me as I was braking for a corner, flew round and pissed off.

Found it in the car park. Totally stripped, and with R888's on it. That was it (no engine mods).

Easily capable of posting 8:30 lap times.

If it's the VTEC version go for it! Do suffer badly from rust so check it out first, sounds quite cheap.

Not so sure about it being his wifes car though as he tends to have a different motor sat on the drive for sale every month. He also has a rover 75 diesel at the moment with a 1595 tag in the window.

The CRX has been sat there for over a month though......

I'll go first; because that is the later shape Del Sol model is's not as quick or desirable from a petrolhead stance as the earlier wedge shaped cars like this -

I have owned a few including a 16v turbo with ~210 bhp, fully stripped out, some trick suspension, huge brakes and R888s.

Was insanely fun and would embarrass a lot of 'better' cars on track.

I've been looking at replacing my Fiat Coupe 20VT with a CRX (proper one, not the Del Handbag), it's one of those cars I've wanted since I was relatively young (and also a Mk1 MR2). Sadly nice ones are few and far between and carry a hefty price tag. Genuine B16A engined cars are pretty rare as well, though there are quite a few that have been converted.

I had a Del Sol with a B18. Ignore what 'purists' say, its just as capable as a 'proper' CRX in my opinion.

If its a manual roof then its lighter than the electric roof, which obviously helps the handling.

Taking the roof off and going for a VTEC blast is awesome.

Built in a barn. Have you still got your turbo one? Is it actually working?

They're not the prettiest/manliest looking car, but they're a lot nicer to live with day to day than a CRX. The electric roof mechanism is simply amazing. My car was 20 years old, and the roof worked like it was brand new. Stunning.

In a good colour with some good wheels they look remarkably better..

That is the second itiration, the first was the 210 BHP one. The second itiration was to run around 400 ish but never got finished as I got messed around, got fed up and broke it for parts.
