I had rear parking sensors on my previous car and am contemplating getting some more, a reversing camera or a combination of the two for my new car.

Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) about buying them as this will be the first time that I've had to install them.

£25 ebay specials work fine on five of my vans.

Was that a camera or sensors?

I installed the £13 ebay parking sensors in my wife's 307 (since I was doing the bumper anyway)...they're not as usefully calibrated as the ones in my Octavia (start beeping much earlier and constant drone at a fairly dangerous ~15 cm vs. ~30 cm in the Octavia), but work ok. Main complaint would be it's difficult not to angle them slightly downward, so reversing up/down slopes cause beeps. £13 though...

Thanks for the info! I would prefer not to drill through the bumper if I can help it though

I have got two reversing cameras on my Defender, plus a rear view mirrow camera and they are all fantastic.

The rear ones cost me about £250 each though, and viewed on a dvd screen.

Sounds impressive but a bit too expensive for me.

The camera will be routed through my double din HU, so need to get something that is compatible with that

Personally i'd see a camera as a waste of time.

I love my sensors, my ears do the reversing, while my eyes are still away of whats out front while turning

Yes I have mirrors too, I am interested in people's reasoned opinions as to different options for sensors and a camera
