Door Video security

AM after a system at my father place so he can open the door from upstairs, this is so he doesnt have to go all the way down to the opposite end of the house and open the door - obv he wants to see who he's opening the door to so some sort of cam interface would be good. Can anyone provide me with some companies / names of products for this kinda tech?

Been considering video entry for my own place, the enterview 5 looks like a good system, keenly priced, and cat5 installation.

yeah i did see the enterview 5 system, and the usage on a win network could open up some interesting possiblitys

I don't think it's "networkable" as such, just that it can be installed using cat5 spec cable.

Been googling around the Enterview system but came across no mention of it working on a network? Where did you find that?

Aha. Because something runs on Cat5 doesn't mean it's networkable
