spare stepper motor anyone?

Does anyone have a spare working stepper motor I could borrow or maybe buy? I have a funny issue with my 400SE where it sometimes, but not always, idles at around 1500 - 2000 rpm when the engine is hot - almost like a cruise control when in 5th gear

I've taken the existing one out and cleaned off the deposits - initially I thought the problem had been solved, but then it happened again at the weekend.

There are no other problems as far as my limited knowledge can tell (although any advice welcome), so I would like to try another stepper motor to compare.

hi i had a very similar problem on my griff but in 3rd 4th and top gears. i checked every thing including cleaning and then changing the stepper motor,i eventually checked the ign timing and was running at tdc .it doesnt do it in all gears now but on a hot day after a long run will sit at about 1500rpm in 5th,if i put it in fourth it slows down straight away
