For me its a M reg 1994 Polo Match Coupe, 76k and an absolute death trap, im assured it does have brakes but you would be better doing a flintstones effort to stop, the clutch was that hard to press down it was unreal, certainly an experience to drive.

A Vauxhall Chevette belonging to a friend at university. His driving scared me enough, even when I didn't know that his brakes didn't work and his steering had more play than a childproof lid.

Recently, a SEAT Leon hire car.
Horrible thing.

Back in the past, a Vauxhall Vectra.

Internationally.
A Chevy Impala
It was like a jelly on wheels.

A Diesel 51 plate Focus Estate company pool car.

It wasn't looked after at all - bald tyres, noisy engine, greasy film on the windscreen, slipping clutch, bad handbrake, water leak...

Horrible.

2005 Vectra estate. What engine / trim? Don't know, couldn't be bothered to look at the appliance's tailgate for long enough to find out. Crushingly uninspiring. I didn't know it was possible to make a car so dull. Of all the cars I've driven in my life, even the ancient piles of st deathtraps with worn parts, this low mileage Vectra would be my last ever choice to drive anywhere in.

It was even worse than that Audi Medium I drove once, which at least had an interesting interior.

Many many years ago, the girlfriends baby-sh*t yellow Yugo 45 with an offset steering wheel because of the wheel arch encroaching into the drivers footwell. Absolutely gutless, uninspiring and badly made rubbish.

A Yugo Skala was endearingly crap. My ex-girlfriends Mazda Protege (this was over in the USA) handled well enough, but it felt dangerously slow. The auto gearbox was utterly hopeless too.

I think it'd have to be my first car.. a Peugeot 205 "Trio" with an asthmatic 954cc engine and the most terrifying handling I've ever experienced. The car would lean so much into corners, I could almost reach out of the window and touch the road!

It was a great first car and very reliable, but absolutely shocking to drive smile

Funnily enough I had an old 205 a few months ago as a daily banger and I know what you mean by it 'leaning' when you went around a corner! ha!

Mercedes A140, back in 2001.

No redeeming features at all, not even the orange seats.

It would have to be one of the many different "compact sedan" hire cars that I've had in the US. They all blur into one vague memory of horribleness.

The only one that really stands out was the Focus saloon just because it was so much worse in every conceivable way than the European versions of the same car. The others at least didn't have that obvious comparison to a version of the same car that is several orders of magnitude better.

In the UK? My Dad's Triumph Acclaim - Absolutely no redeeming features in my view.

Ever? Some of the nameless 80s American rentacars I drove - They are why everyone assumes every American car is a fat, rolling, understeering, gutless heap of uttter crap - They were...

I quite like rubbish cars. Had a Daf 33 Daffodil many moons ago and loved it. Also driven a Trabant which was fun.

Rode a 1927 Harley with hand gear change that weighed about 3 tonne and produced about 12bhp. That was a hoot too.
