Is this a problem and what to do ?

I'm replacing the r/hand engine mount on my griff, but the holes in the mount on the car seem somewhat larger than bolts that go through. Is this usual or has a loose mount opened these up considerably.

I can't help feeling however tight i get the bolts, they're gonna move about in the holes.

I guess i could mig the spacer to the mount but i'm open to comments and suggestions.

If i remember correctly mine were like that. When i put the new mounts on i also replaced nuts and washers and can remember having to put quite large washers on to stop the nuts pulling through. When its all fastened down i cant see anything moving. Mine has been ok since anyway. In all honesty i think they are made like that, probably to ease fitting.

now i look closely at the picture there is paint round the inside of most of the hole, so it must have been made this (crap) way.

if you tilt the engine in the cradle of the 2 mountings you can almost get the manifold to touch the chassis(one side at a time only)and this appears the case on a few cars are I have checked/renewed mounts on so centre up before nip up,also a lot easier on the ramp/lift
