This is clearly a film for Tom Cruise fans and not Lee Child fans. I re-read One Shot when I heard this is the film they are to make and have to say it wasn't as good second time round. Once you know how the story pans out there is very little to go back too. Its not one of these stories you can keep reading and enjoying. So if you know it there is going to be very little in the film that's going to be a surprise. Other than Jack's 6 feet 5 inches are now 4 foot nothing

Its the wrong book for a Reacher film imo, so let Tom Cruise have it - I probably wont be interested enough to go and see it anyway.

I must admit that I thought that this was very peculiar casting unless they are just using the name and not the character.
Although saying that, I guess it would be quite difficult to find somebody to play Jack Reacher.

Its screaming out for an unknown actor, but unknown actors don't pull big budgets and big audiences.

Lee Child has always said Hugh Jackman was his choice to play Reacher.
