Do you ever go to look at a car when there's nobody about?
Discussion
As an example, im considering an evening (well, night time now) road trip 45 minutes away to check on an A4 Avant for sale.
I prefer to have a proper good poke when nobodys around. I suppose people will tell me to man up, grow balls and go at normal opening times, but i cant be arsed with salesmen until i see a car i want to buy.
Im pretty certain im going to have a nosey, shall take the torch with me, if i end up getting locked up, i'll be using PH as my alibi

Just a little weird??
I would out of preference never look at a car at night. Repairs cannot always be seen properly until in daylight. I usually find salesmen will give me some space to look over the car thoroughly. If they don't - there is usually something to hide and want you to rush the decision........

Well you really are going to be able to see all the paint faults and scratches in the dark.NOT.
Obviously you would want to see the car in daylight as well, but traditional street lighting (the orangey kind) can often enhance any panel which has been resprayed.edited for quote fail

Why not. Best time to assess the car for yourself away from a pestering salesman full of waffle following you about

I often wander around franchised dealer forecasts when they are closed. You can get a good look at things without people bothering you and without you wasting the time of salesmen.
Having read a few recent PH threads, I thought dealers were full of people wandering around in broad daylight with pockets full of cash to spend... and then having to leave because they were totally ignored.Funny old world.
