I think my water supplier may have fked my meter reading up a bit. There's just me in my flat, and I'm only there evenings and parts of the weekend. They seem to think I've used 39.7 cubic meters of water in one month, that's nearly 40000 litres eek Hmmm I think I may have to call them tomorrow hehe

We used 92 cubic meters in the last six months (family of four) working from home.

One of my parents neighbours got a huge water bill, after complaining to the water company it was found there was some meter mix up and they had been charged the water bill for a hotel 30 miles away.

So speak to the water comapny.

Water might be soaking away from a leak on your side of the meter.

That wouldn't explain the additional charge for 37000 Litres of waste water hehe I have a sneaking suspicion that they have mixed me up with one of the nearby hotels.

1000 litres a day is a lot for a large family, 40000 for a single person in a month? Don't think so.

I had a word with them this morning. They think that the estimated start reading was badly out. They're sorting it out now. The girl on the phone was cracking up when I told her the usage, apparently a large hotel wouldn't use that much.

It would. Waste water is worked out as 90% of water used.

Either someone has misread the meter or you have a massive leak somewhere!
