Huge thanks to Craig, Greg, Emma & co for organising a great day again.

Also a HUGE thanks to everyone who gave my son Tom a ride - he's not stopped effervessing since. He now knows why he should study hard at school, as packing shelves at Tesco won't buy him a RUF Turbo R

can't wait to see the 'spin city' video!

Craig, Emma and Greg.

Once again thanks for the best vmax so far and also the Kevin and his quite little Ferrari.

Also thanks to the comments from the people who had rides in the Ultima- next time it will be faster!

Thanks to the organisation crew of Craig, Greg and Emma. Great as ever, even made the rain hold off for the day.

Biggest thanks goes to Kevin for a level of generosity rarely seen. Next time mate when mechanicals allow it's my turn to reciprocate.

Also thanks to the guy in the mega audi RS6 for the passenger ride (with aircon at 171 mph+ and all the people who made my brother welcome on the day with general chat/banter and some great passenger runs. He had a fantastic day.

DAZ

PS - As you can see the car made it home no problem. Pesky brakes.

Wow! Another awesome VMax. Simply sensational.

Big thanks to everyone who gave me a ride and to everyone just for being a great bunch of mates to spend a day with. Really good chats and jokes (hey Ig ) and overall i'm exhausted but sitting here with a huge grin on my face thinking back to the day i've just had.

Special thanks to Johnny Senna for being a legend and giving me a ride down. Top Bloke and i hope you get that X50 you deserve!

I've got over an hour of footage so will probably make up a trailer tomorrow then post a few longer videos over the next few weeks.

Big thanks to Craig, Greg, Em, Domster etc for all their hard work!!! You're legends!

Cheers all,

Rico, aka the Supercar Pimp

As all have said, thanks Craig, Greg and Emma. Had a great day, I am glad that on this occasion that both Tuscans attending had no problems. I got 164 on one run and it still had more, I believe the other Tuscan got 169. Fab day. Pictures and vids (Rods doing a 720) to follow.

You can add my thanks too. Hugely enjoyable day with plenty of opportunity to chat too. One or two spins maybe, but no bodywork was harmed in the making of VMAX V

Daz- you don't need to thank me for anything my friend. In all the time I've known you, I've yet to see you on your own in your car. You're always giving someone a spin. And if barrelling along in Guys' Ultima isn't an authentic taste of a Sports Prototype, I'll eat my shoes. Totally insane machine I like it!

Sorry for not getting around to everyone, but there was just no way I could do all the runs today. Next time.

So c'mon, depress everybody. What did the RUF do?

Damned shame you couldn't make it Justin. You were missed. Nothing serious I hope.

One thing I'd like to add, all of the guys were amongst the friendliest blokes I've ever met. Of special note, Kev, Der, Rob, Jonny Senna, "Cheese and Pickle Sandwich Guy", Sean in the GT3 RS, well all of them really.

The best thing was, no matter what cars were there, it would still be a pleasure, the cars were only part of it.

Rico and Muncher....you are very welcome.

Craig, Greg and Emma....a big thank you is due.

Although my speedo said 157, I was only doing 149 mph..., but never mind.

Thanks to the fellas who gave me a ride in their cars. I don't know exactly what car I'll get next, but it will have a Porsche badge on the nose (or Ruf!!).

And Muncher....I'm sorry I didn't get around to taking your stitches out. Totally slipped my mind! I think you should see the practice nurse tomorrow. Take no crap from them, tell them it's urgent.

Thanks all organisers plus the guy's that sat on the straight I don't think I would like to sit there!

- great day - made me decide to keep the Noble for the time being - seeing as it's not that slow! Thanks for the ride in the Ruf R Turbo as well - seemed very relaxed at 189 MPH!

I must beat the 165MPH next time, I will have proper head light covers and the wing mirrors will be completly off all the shut lines taped up - hmm, maybe an extra 100 BHP should do the trick - 'err Mr West....!'

It all started at an ungodly hour on Sunday....

DeR promised that he would arrive later than normal on account of having MOD500 convoying down from the Northern wastelands. So at 7am I went out to swap our cars around ready. Hark, whats that in the distance? Is that the four horsemen of the apocalypse out for an early morning canter?

Why no, it DeR and MOD500, EVEN EARLIER than usual!

An hour and a bit later we had ten cars outside the house, on neighbours driveways, up the road, down the road, supercars of one form and another as far as the eye could see. A mouthwatering selection. Talking of mouthwatering, big "up" to my dear wife for a splendid breakfast. I found out recently that Emm looks in from time to time, so thanks love - it was superb.

Well, breakfast over and it was time to head up to the track. What followed was one of the best convoys I've ever been in. I mean c'mon - we had Guys Ultima, Kevs 360 CS, and DeRs Beetle on the same bill - does it get better than this? I think not!

A leisurely drive up the M1 at 70mph, with a quick fuel stop and we were at the track.

The rest everyone else has described in various other posts, but thanks yet again to the drivers for making it a superb and unforgettable day for everyone. The weather was also kind, I felt but one or two spots of rain, but nothing came of it.

Roll on VMAX 6!!!!

Final thanks must go to Craig for his tireless organisation, and stepping into my marshall shoes more than once so I could either take people out in Gorgeous George, or be passengered. Cheers mate - about time you got up earlier and made brekky though....!

Cheers,
Greg

No probs, called the surgery today, the practice nurse is too busy to do it and the "nurse practioner" although above a nurse, "doesn't do stitches"

Awesome day guys....

Special thanks to Greg and Emm for their hospitality so very early in the morning, Craig for organising another very special event and everyone else for the stunning display of machinery....

Memories from the day...

Back to back runs in the 996 GT-2 and 996 R GT-2 - stunning. Ceramic discs, ideal for pulverising your internal organs - wow

187mph in the howling Ruf R-Turbo - many, many thanks Mike

Emm for scaring me more than anyone else in a car. Boxter a hairdressers car? I don't think so

MOD/DeR for the trip to Brunters....

Damn i need a porker turbo. Anyone want to buy a kidney?
