Women drivers are today urged to be extra vigilant after a violent carjacker struck at his victim's front door.

A 40-year-old woman was punched repeatedly in the face as she walked the few yards from her car to her home after a trip to the supermarket.

Scotland Yard warned women to remain in their car if they think that anyone is acting suspiciously. The alert comes after a number of similar attacks in which women driving alone were targeted as they left their cars.

The latest victim was severely beaten when she was ambushed on her doorstep in Dulwich Village. The woman refused to hand over the keys to her grey Audi A3 sports car.

The man punched her to the ground, snatched the keys and drove off. The assault left the terrified victim with two black eyes and stitches to her lip. The woman, who is too afraid to give her name, said today: "I had been to the supermarket to do some shopping. When I came home I parked the car outside the house.
Now, I know we've had this before, but WHAT THE FCUK????

The police advise that we should cower at the feet of criminals because they're unable (albeit by virtue of the justice system) to arrest and convict the fcukers.

Can anyone tell me why I shouldnt arm my wife with a Tazer (sp?) apart from the likelyhood of her using it on me when I come home a bit pissed.. ahh.. umm..

Oh well, I rest assured that if my wife felt herself in any kind of threat, she'd run over any protagonist without hesitation, and I countenance that entirely. Then I'd sue the flattened scrote for damage to the car.

DEFEND YOURSELVES! MOW DOWN A SCROTE TODAY!!

POLICE! DON'T LIKE IT? THEN STAY OUT OF IT - IT SEEMS YOU'RE MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO SO WHEN WE'RE IN DANGER!

And while your at it, tell your supercilious Chiefs who hand out their pious advice to a public they're unable to assist to shut their mouths until they've got something useful to contribute. I'm not inclined to hold my breath for that though

I'm calm now

- this story
- Doctor assaulted recently
- Man held up at gunpoint in his home

All news reports regarding car theft that I've heard recently and all involving Audis. Seems the safest bet is to get another car. Why are they such hot property compared to other marques?

I don't like the sound of this - the assault, not the Tabasco sauce, what you do in your own time is entirely up to you - but it seems the scrotes wait until you are out of your car precisely so you couldn't simply flatten them.

This means we have to become ever more paranoid, checking to see whether we are being tailed etc. And it's all very well to say drive to the nearest police station, but what if it's only open part time, or you don't know where the nearest one is? Aargh!!

Two (or 3) suggestions:

1) Remote garage door opener so you drive straight in;
2) Borrow my personal 'mobile defense unit' this unit waits at the gate for me and would attack anybody who was threatening to me or my family. The unit is a 42kg German Shepherd!

3) Already given - mow the scrotes down.

a thought..... according to our international head of security (who is truly terrifying indeividual and works everywhere dangerous) very little 'personal assult' of this type is properly planned or premeditated - it really is a case of 'wrong place, wrong time, doing wrong thing' A lot of scum like this know they wish to steal 'A' car, but look for the right opportunity to do so. Ensuring you dont look/act like a victim can help enormously. What I mean by this is ont parking your car in the dark corner of a car park late at night. Don't meander around opening garage and fiddling with stuf. I think if people appear alert and careful the scum often look elsewhere.....

hopefully

Night

p.s. Personally I would ensure your 'fragile' loved one has some peppar spray and knows how to use it. You can't really hurt anyone seriously (unlike with a Taser) and I really cant see the police doing a lay who had it in her handbag.....

Night - judging by the fact that pepper spray is categorised as a firearm, and some of the stories we've seen posted here, I'd much rather go with the Tazeer.. after all - I *do* really want to hurt the scrotes. The Tazer is only for knocking them down so I can stand on their throat and pour creosote down their necks..

It may surprise you to know that we do arrest these scrotes, time and time again. Nothing gives more pleasure than seeing these pimply pondlife behind bars, believe me we do put them there and regularly. However when they get a lawyer on legal aid working for them, they are released after their 24hrs in police detention (cant hold them any longer unless Supt or the court extend it)so they are at liberty to do the same again and again.

Only two weeks ago I was involved in an operation on 4 scrotes that do this (car Jacking). They had just done a mobile phone shop and had unloaded 400 phones into their house when they were requested to vacate the premises down the barrels of 12 MP5 Heckler and Koch carbines. They had also done an armed robbery on a jewellers shop with firearms which after the search were recovered, along with some rings from that robbery hidden in the rear light cluster of a top of the range M3 BMW (This is these guys business and they work hard at it like many of you do to finance your cars.)

They were kept in detention for 24 hours. Put before a court the following day and given bail with conditions. ie Not to intimidate witnesses, or associate with each other and to sign on at the Police station every day and surrender their passports. Stuff like that. Sad they wont be able to nip over to Marbella for a few weeks until CPS drop the whole job through some technical error on the part of a D.C. that is so overworked he has missed a form out of the prosecution papers (before you start ranting just remember everyone makes mistakes). (I am on my 25th day now without a break, many of which have been over 12 hour shifts)

sadly it is not the fact that the person committing the crime is tried to his guilt. It is the standard of the paperwork that is on trial. If the scrote has not had every available piece of prosecution evidence disclosed to him then lawyers winge and they get off.

We even have to get CCTV footage of areas where incidents occur even if the incident wasnt captured by the film. It still has to be watched and still has to be disclosed as there may be an avenue for the defence to explore to get it out of it.

Dont blame the Police for not wanting to do anything. We do, especially those of us that work the streets. That is why we do it.

Why would someone do that job for £25K ?(Shifts, hated by the motorist, Crap from inside the organisation, Crap from the Govt, and into the bargain branded racist, sexist bigotist and any other ...ist that is fahionable and the likelyhood of your head punched occasionally for trying to do it)
when you could work in MacDonalds for the same money. I often wonder.

Ill tell you why. Because most of the people I work with want to rid the streets of these scumbags.
Rant Over

Oh and the Tazar is not a good idea. It is covered by Sect 5 of Firearms act 1968 and is a prohibited weapon. You may as well own a bazooka, The penalty is the same and doubtless you would be a neighbour for 24 hours with the people who want to steal your prized possession to drive it through a shop window. Problem is the Supt or the Court may well extend your visit to 96 hours!!!!

Madcop - Fair comment mate - and I hope no offence taken at my outburst. I do try to make it clear in my postings that IMO the judiciary and govt are the cause of these sort of problems, not the police.

I'd like a bazooka, but they're not much good in close quarters combat... suppose could always give them the keys and then blow them away as they drive up the road..

Finally, tell me, we're legally allowed to use reasonable force, but ISTM that the victim of crime who defends himself ferquently ends up in court. So, we can't defend ourselves and the police can't be everywhere.

I think that ordinary people are going to be more and more inclined to carry some kind of weapon. Where do you think it will end? Surely legislation to allow us to defend our homes and property with absolute force is required.

What are the legal limits of such force? If the tazar and CS gas are illegal, is pepper spray? what about a large 4-cell maglite? where's the cut-off?

No weapon, no way. The day you buy your wife a tazer is the day you both start living in fear. When my Great Grandad died i found an immense carving knife under his pillow. Let's pretend it's not going to happen, shall we? It probably won't, after all.

Nice one Madcop. Keep catching the scrotes, it's all you can do. In the meantime a certain blind gentleman needs to get some laws changed.

My girlfriend drives a TT and she is very paranoid these days - luckily it would be very obvious if someone tried to follow her home - 1/4 mile off the main road, past 2 sets of electric gates and straight into a garage with an electric door. (Fine until there's a power cut ).

Now it's the Pikey's I really want to see sorted out ... they move into an area and all of a sudden petty crime goes up, burned out or abandoned cars appear nearby etc. etc. They go around in gangs and run riot everywhere.

No - the day my wife started driving a 30K car was the day that the opportunity for worry opened up.. Peace of mind is about having the means to defend yourself.

Bring em on!! These drop-out inbreeding skegs need a bloody good kicking (and would burning be out of the question? ).

Then the landowners complains to the council and police who won't do anything. Then the council threaten him with prosecution for setting up a campsite without the proper lisence/permission.

Or is that just where I live...

But if we get rid of the pikeys who would buy all that Elizabeth Duke jewellery, china shire horses pulling large barrels and market track suits?

Ban the manufacture of caravans, its the only way. Added to which this will probably reduce summertime stress levels by about 300%
