When I was growing up my dad had an Alfa 155 Q4 for a couple of years.

I'm seriously considering hunting one down as a weekend car and just need someone to talk me out of it if it's highly likely going to end in tears.

My wife's telling me to get a 159 if I must have an Alfa, but the 155 keeps calling.

Q4 you know you want too, if you can find one?

Personally, I'd go for the 155. It's clearly an itch that needs to be scratched. Run it for a year, enjoy it, add it to the automotive CV then chop it in for a 159 if you want to.

As for OHs telling you which Alfa you can and can't have...let's not go there.

Does anyone know the potential issues with them?

I know Italian electrics are on a par with the French but I'm wondering about mechanical stuff. My dad has mentioned clutches being pricey (and that was back in the day)

yes, I think you'll find they are a pile of sub standard junk. But that aside, no probs.

I spent years looking for the right q4 but I found that even finding any 155 that's not rotten is a challenge. As it goes I have just taken a deposit on my 155 t spark widebody by the future owner who has also found this out
