dont know really, been using the acoms set's for years, dont want anything too complicated, just a basic, quality set, rechargable battery would be good as well.

I have no idea of the prices, £100? maybe??

Budget 2.4 ghz are the Core RC radio's. Sold under the Schumacher umbrella in the Uk. The first ones had some binding issues but these were all replaced under warranty by Schumacher. The latter ones have new recievers and much better bind and signal.

http://www.pit-bitz.com/product_info.php?cPath=37_... (should show as in stock, i saw them on the board last night!)

Another option is the Spektrum DX6i mode 1. Whilst a 6 channels radio Phil greeno offers a service where he will lock the articulation so it works as a 2 channel. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPEKTRUM-DX6i-DSM-X-2-4g...

Recievers need to be the AR600 range which are also inexpensive, but this will be slightly over budget at £125 all in.

For a cheap decent one then you'd be looking at the futaba 3gr at about £200 (make sure you look at the 2.4 and not the 40mhz). There are cheaper ones but they are cheap for a reason, so it depends entirely on how much you intend to use it. It might also be worth looking at the classified section on www.oople.com/forums

In stock at Schumacher so can be ordered for a few days if out of stock at Pit-bitz. Alternate suppliers are available, but I dont have a vested interest in them smile
