Any frequents at Aberdeen beach here?
Discussion
I was down at ASDA one evening last month getting some shopping, happened to be on route home from a day out in the noble, came out and got in the car only to be be suddenly surrounded by neds who revved their cars and blocked me in for a few minutes which they seemed to find funny. I waited for a bit then drove towards them and they quickly moved but not without shouting some abuse at me... Cool
You're not that type but there are a lot of morons that hang about down there, wouldn't mind going along to share my opinions with them but I'd rather go out dressed as Gaddafi and get drunk!

That's what were trying to change, unfortunately you get tonnes of mouth breathers, but it's a good laugh when things stay sensible, meet other petrolheads in same situation (young and poor!
).
Don't bother with 'laps' either much. Lots of organised runs to crail and such, better than tagging it about town.

The bad reputation will be hard to change unfortunately, as there will always be one ned that ruins it for everyone.
A similar thing was tried a few years back. The police said that if the 'bouley bashers' could behave themselves, that they would give them more freedom, it didn't work though, and if anything, the policing is much harsher now, to the point it's not worth going down. Which is a shame in my opinion, as with the right crowd it can be a good laugh.

Didn't you used to own the TVR T350 that was a frequent feature down the beach a few years ago? You're not that type but there are a lot of morons that hang about down there, wouldn't mind going along to share my opinions with them but I'd rather go out dressed as Gaddafi and get drunk!

I used to occasionally go down many moons ago and it was full of a
holes then. I somehow doubt anything has changed. Being an old fecker I remember the days when the "Bouly" (15+ years ago) was the place to be and I spent plenty time there back then, the banter was superb and I met some great people who are still friends to this day.
Times changed and it became chav central and the true car enthusiast element of it died a death and it was a place best avoided.
These day's I would pretty much say there no such thing as a bouly basher, I pass the beach every night on the way home from the gym and its pretty much dead with no chavs to be seen and it seems asda is where everyone parks up now which keeps them off the beach boulevard etc.
I never thought I would see the "Bouly" die a death as its been active for 50+ with young car owners etc but it seems it has and pretty much a good thing due now growing residential areas surrounding it.

I too find the Boulevard hardly used any more. Always used to look forward to driving past and seeing a few nice cars. Mostly Jap but occasionaly an oddball motor or two. Mostly see alot of them alive and kicking down in Garthdee Asda nowadays though. If im in Aberdeen Saturday night after work ill maybe take a look in by
Like Rod said its nice to meet like minded folk who just want to talk cars and chill out. Just a shame the reputation of us young drivers (im 20
) is dented due to a few too many fannys who just dont have a bit of respect. On a seperate note, Peterheads "Blootoon Cruise" died a death years ago. The "Gravies" really is just a dead spot now haha.
Swifty
