For the 79 new mobile locations introduced by the SCP in 2002 the average KSI totalled for the 3 years prior to these sites was 87.9 and for 2003 was 100

Sites that showed big increases were

B4051 Park Row/ Perry Road from 12.3 to 20
A420 Lawrence Hill from 1 to 6
B4057 Gypsy Patch Lane, Nr. Hatchet Rd from 0.3 to 5
A4018 Passage Rd. Nr. B4057 Crow Lane from 0.7 to 4

(these were the biggest numbers by far, average 1.28)
biggest decrease was 2.7

4 sites has 0 before and after ?????????
4 showed no change
31 sites showed an increase

The A303 illminster bypass has recently had it's road layout changed making a lot safer. No doubt the next years figures will show a good reduction in accident figures. I'll bet this weeks wages on the partnership claiming it was their gatso which made the road safer, despite the fact it hasn't done so for the last three years.
