I wrote this article about Simoncelli.

Thought some of you chaps might appreciate it.

Rather proud of the comment by Paul Denning, Suzuki MotoGP team boss.

Couldn't agree more. Well said.

Simoncelli was certainly the most exciting/promising rider in Motogp for me, even creating more entertainment than Rossi in 2011. I was looking forward to how he would ride for the next few years.

Nice one Kipling.

I hope you'll be pleased to know that, as a member of several other fora, I have drawn attention to your eloquent and sensitive tribute. Very well done indeed…

Nice article. Reading it brings back the one salient fact. He won't be on the grid next year. I had him down to inherit Rossi's mantle - he reminded me so much of Vale in his early days. Sad

Great article there! As a car racer myself (albeit at club level) you really hit home the point as to why we do it - the ultimate adrenaline buzz and the sheer enjoyment factor! Though I've never watched the bike racing much, I have great admiration for anyone who can ride at those speeds with no metal around them for protection, just their overalls - not sure I'd like that!! It's such a tragedy that has hit motorsport in the last week or 2, though I for one will keep getting into my racecar and pushing like mad! RIP all those who we have lost to a great sport - and I'm sure they'll all be up there continuing their passion (I certainly hope my dad is!) and lets hope the sport lives on bigger and better in their memories.

Dave.
