"Basildon will burn before we leave" says everything about their attitude really. Why am i expecting a bit of a bias?

I've never heard of the person whose land backs onto Dale farm before...from initial impressions, he seems to be a brave man..standing up to them and getting 'threats' in the lane...from the travellers..

Yup. Brave bloke. Imagine having your law-abiding life completely fruqued up for 10 years through no fault of your own. If I was a lawyer I'd represent him for free in a £5 million compensation claim against the Council for letting it drag on so long.

Sorry, must get the air rifle. Professional Crustie has just appeared on the plasma.

So after being evicted from Borehamwood for no planing permission, they move to Essex and do the same, and expect something different?

"It's like the end of the world" and "I'm too old to be doing this". It is all of their own making, it did not have to be this way.

Am I meant to be feel sympathy for these people, what they have done is illegal, if I built a new house in my garden I would expect nothing less.

Oh maybe that Len ain't such a stable bloke....I know he's been pushed a lot but setting fire to things and getting his gun out....

Still makes for interesting viewing...

I would say Len has been pushed to the brink, and has led to the instability, setting fire was a mistake, but so was building and putting the tarp up, then him getting the firearms out was a big error, especially with the police there.

Was said earlier that being seen on tv would "harm their ability to get jobs" and perhaps be id'd by the law?

Ah missed that part. I guess the metal "reclamation" industry must be a difficult career to get into?

So they're arguing that because the council used it as a dumping ground it can't be 'green belt'?

They're missing the point...the cars/scrap are TEMPORARY and can be cleaned up....the travellers did clean it up but then built PERMANENT fixings on the land..just because they cleaned it up doesn't change the purpose of the land..

Complete mis-direction there...

Now there saying we should have vandelised it....and they want credit for obeying the law......

urine beginning to get to 100C!!!
