We're probably due a food scare or a killer flesh eating bug frenzy on the news anytime soon.

Control them with fear and you can tax them to the hills!

I get the impression we are in at the early stages of yet another "FLU EPIDEMIC panic" just at the moment.

Sort of quiely warming us up, ready to hit P A N I C in a couple of weeks

It will be interesting to see what they can try to frighten my missus with next, in fact she's just said "They can't, I'm all stress-free now"

Grandkids gone home after almost a week of half term smile

Bring it on!

Don't forget that the country will grind to a halt throughout October with massive snowstorms heralding the start of the coldest winter on record

You could write it now, ready for late December:

"Chaos" or "Standstill!"

"The minister for transport was held to task today as roads up and down the country closed due to snow...blah, blah, import salt, blah..."

According to the BBC we've just had the warmest October since records began, so I think it'll be a while til the climate nonsense goes (with taxes remaining of course).

Next scares..... depends where cars and their energy source go, but I think we'll discover 'new evidence' of electric cars causing cancer and man made global cooling and so low co2 emitting vehicles will be taxed double that of high co2 emitting cars to encourage increased use of oil..... or something.

I've just heard that the next big thing could be related to Tampax going out of business.

That would cause a flood of problems.

...although these are always a 'blip' that doesn't contradict global warming, honestly.

We don't need a made up scare story at the moment as that slot in the news agenda has been taken up by a genuine scare story - the financial and debt crisis.
