The wife has a elderly Kenwood Chief mixer and when it is running it knocks out the TV, radio, WiFI and i'm sure if we were on a flight path we would have a plane crash every time she uses it.

So is there anything i can do to stop it being a EMP pulse weapon

Telling her not to use it is not an option as she uses it to make cakes lick

Buying her a new one is not an option as its her mothers who died last year

Stick it in an earthed bird cage

Read up on Faraday cages

Sounds like the brushes in the motor are fubarred (assuming it's brushed!) But these are usually not serviceable.

Other option is try and buy the same model and swap it out when she's not looking.
