Price now reduced to £150 per car making it a real bargain.

Do you know how much track time will be available please? I'm quite tempted at £150. Is it usually a good mix of cars as mines not that quick compared to modern stuff and I hate getting in the way.

There is a 40 car maximum limit on the day with 8 hours of track time available in total. This means if the day is full you will get a minimum of 2 hours on the actual track however this is likely to be a lot more in reality. At present we have a nice mix of cars, being a 96db car day there is nothing to heavy coming so I wouldn't worry about getting in the way at all. its just going to be really good fun.

Hi, I'm really interested in this - do you have any more information?

Although 1 hour on track vs 8 hours there isn't so appealing.. Is it possible we could get like 4 x 30 min sessions? Never been before.. but would hope for at least 4 x 30 mins or sometihng over the day..

sorry meant 2 HOURS MINIMUM as its 15 min sessions. so 1 hour befor lunch 1 hour after. However this is based on 40 cars maximum. At the moment we are not near this limit meaning plenty of track time for all!

One last thing, there is also a 20 minute parade lap at lunch for those who wish to do it.

From my experience "15 minutes" meant exactly 10, and I was on the day with only 30 cars, however apparently many more drivers. It's not particularly good value, but Goodwood never has been (although a truly good circuit).

Hi Chris,

I think u are probably right in general however at the moment we have 12 cars booked so should be a good amount of time for everyone involved.

Sort of being picky here but... how come this ad is OK but others get very, very told off?

Nope I agree it is vague. The only reason is because I saw another thread talking about the same day and a price reduction somewhere, and charitable causes were mentioned smile

Like you, I would be miffed were it otherwise wink

It is a charity event. I've spoken with ed over the last couple days, (he works for a charity called eve appeal) and he has been very helpful.

I was booked for silverstone which has now been cancelled so weather permitting I'm hoping to take my new 1m on my first track day.

Just a quick note to thank the eve appeal for arranging an excellent track day. My dad and I had a great time and everyone was really helpful and friendly. We had a downpour in the morning but this didn't dampen the day. Anyone who has never been round goodwood should take the opportunity as it's a fantastic circuit.

Special mention to goodwood instructors who were very user friendly and also the marshals supporting the event.

Hope to return soon

I great day out, well organised as all the Goodwood days are, and a nice friendly sensible crowd on track. Nice to meet all those I spoke to, boy those AMGs were quick!

I hope plenty was raised for the charity.

Simon

A few pics of the day I caught in the morning before it dried up.

These appeared at lunch for a shortwhile...
