Are everyone else's footballers as utterly arrogant as those found in Newcastle? laugh

There's a strip of road on Benton Lane near where I work, which frequently has a mobile speed camera van on it as it's a 30 limit, next to a school, just past the cat and dog shelter. It's obvious, and frequently there, yet Kevin Nolan was done last year and banned in his Range Rover, and Peter Lovenkrands was done before that at nearly 60, yet somehow escaped a ban. The latest one to be caught is Danny Simpson is his Audi R8.

I was chuckling yesterday reading in the papers that despite already having 9 points, he's pleading exceptional hardship as he has a young daughter. Apparently hiring a chauffeur is too expensive, even if you do earn £10,000 a week rofl

So this morning I was undertaken on a roundabout onto Benton Lane by none other than Mr Simpson himself, having overtaken someone behind me, I enter the roundabout indicating to go right, he cuts back across the guy he's overtaken, undertakes me and speeds off up the road he got caught on rofl

It's hardly suprising he's got 12 points now with an attitude like that. What role models the footballers of today are laugh

Yeah but it's easier to head down the A1 and across Sandy Lane and back up than through Gosforth I'd imagine?

They're a regular spot anyway, young lads clad in adidas driving 80k+ cars stand out a mile off in Benton laugh

Not defending them but it's pretty obvious that if you throw that much cash at kids as young as 16 there really is very little hope that they will grow up to be anything other than arrogant. Inevitable consequence.

Absolutely fair point there.

That depends on which direction you are coming from.

Exactly. Look a Ballotelli, he is a 20 year old (i think) on a 6 figures a week. Of course he is going to act like a tool. There are very few grounded young footballers around, they have big wages and egos to match.

Balotelli is not a tool, that's exactly how I would act if I was on hundreds of thousands a week!! and I'm a little older!

So the solution is to not pay them so much then.

Balotelli is a character the Premiership could do with.

No, it's perfectly reasonable behaviour to set off fireworks in your bathroom.

I certainly don't disagree but football clubs are private businesses and can pay what they like. Though judging by the state of many of their finances, maybe they haven't got things quite right.

Well wages are a player issue, but transfer fees are not.
