Test drove to golfs today. Decided I really didn't like the 1.6 petrol.

If serviced every 10k miles or 12 months religously, what big bills will be in the pipeline after 100k is passed?

clutch - £500 ish?
injectors ?
turbo?

What else...

My 1.9 TDi MkIV was fine up to 105k - no major issues.

Just remember cambelt is at 60k so not long to go. Does the 1.9 have a DPF? they can be costly.

One I looked at is on 114k.

FSH every 8000 miles, cambelt done at 80k.

Same 1.9TDi (8 valver with 105 or 130 bhp... older Tier 3 engine)

I had one in my Skoda superb, 136k miles on original everything (bar cam belt and other stuff like air/oil/fuel filters).... clutch, flywheel, turbo, water pump etc all original. Though apparently the water pump should of been on its last legs with that milage so just check things like that.
