Starter motor diagram

Anyone got a starter motor diagram showing how it goes together? Got mine in bits at the mo with the solenoid out with motor itself still in situ. Question is there's a plunger, spring and arm from the starter itself. How are these reassembled?

The arm goes into the hole where the solenoid fits and pushes the gear out. The plunger goes inside the solenoid and the square at the end goes over the arm with the spring located in to the two holes in the solenoid. This goes over the arm to push it back when the power is taken away from the solenoid.

With the spring in the correct place on the arm the solenoid will be at 45 deg or so from the starter body, it will only be pulled back in to alignment when the bolts holding the solenoid are tightened.

Thanks everyone! Starter motor still off at the mo - ran out of time. Took the cooling system reservoir off to get it out as this seemed easier than taking off the fuel rail.

Wiring looked a bit ropey with loose wires potentially causing the issue where it fired continuously. These are now tidied up. Hoping to get the chance to test it to see if it's ok and then re-fit it.

Next time I'll bring up a bit of rubber seal to go over that fibreglass edge. Save the arms !
