I have used it before to wax a floor but it is costly ( about £60 for 2.5 litres) and 1 litre does about 12 meters.

Has anyone found a cheaper alternative? I am installiong oiled floor boards but wanted to give them a new coat once fitted.

I have a floor sanding business and osmo is about the best out there (I use it all the time) bona do a hard wax oil as well as blanchon if that helps, which is slightly cheaper from memory.

2.5 litres should do roughly 40-50 sq mt if you are getting less from the can your putting it on to thick, it should be a really thin coat...it goes a lot further than you think. Also I put it on with a roller, not with the osmo brush they recommend, I just prefer the roller no other reason than I know when I know the roller is getting dry and needs loading again....
