Was just baiting in the Chimp section and had this thought - are the two mutually exclusive or has anyone owned both at the same time? If so, I guess that means they play golf, wear pink and have hairy chests?

Why on earth would anyone buy a Griff when they already own a Chim ?????? Ah, hang on, I got it, mid life crises, loss of confidence, need a **** extension... Nope, can't be that, Chim owners don't have those kind of problems... Ah, of course, it's obvious, Chim owners don't buy Griffs when they already have a Chim wink

I have, albeit with a break of about 18 months.

Reasons -
1. I was an idiot to sell the Griff
2. Didn't want so spend much more than £13k, Chimps are much better value at the moment

If I had £18k to spend I'd have bought another Griff

I have owned both a 4.5 and 5l chimp while owning my griff . I cannot remember why I would drive them but I must have been doing something major to the griff at the time . I ended up selling them due to lack of them being used as first choice would always be the griff . David

I went from a Griff 500 to a Chimp 430. In theory they are identical but for some reason the Chimp just didn't do it for me like the Griff did. Can't even begin to explain why. But I know I'll be back in a Griff at some point. (That's if I can bear to part with my 1 of only 7 ever made 420SE Wedge with mentle motor). biggrin

yes via a T350. was gonna get another Griff but my Chimaera turned up with only 6k miles on it and have to say [I would wouldn't I] I actually prefer it as does my missus. Also it's the longest I've had any car.
