converting to LED lights?

What do i need to do to change my rear lights to LED? I don't just mean the bulb!

Have you looked on ebay for the whole light cluster. Surprised if no one does it or has thought of doing it.

There was a phad a few years ago of changing the light clusters to those clear lens lexus style ones.

Depending on the make and model there could be complete clusters for sale, but you will need an inline resistor so the indicators and hazard lights flash the correct speed.

Best to look on a forum dedicated to your particular car. A lot try to convert (for dubious fashion reasons?) but problems usually follow. You have to want them very badly to be worth the aggro...

They look nice but with all things these days, its more expensive to replace when theres a fault. A 60p blub is now £100+ unit swap.

Just had to swap the boot lid ones on the X5, water got in and electronic PCBs don't work very well after that.
