Ok, so the time has come to change from the current E60 530d Sport, I have driven quite a few things over the past weeks and am still undecided. Never thought it would be so hard to replace.
Must haves are 4 doors ( 2 babies now ) , anything considered, ie i/we have looked at /driven the following
note the wife will be driving this car more than me now.
F10 530d ( havent driven yet )
XC90 (Didnt like the Auto)
XC60 ( oh those Volvo Seats )
New Kia Sportage ( surprisingly Good, though was top of the range KX3 Auto Satnav model at £24k but what a spec it had, almost nothing it didnt have! )
Q5 Not driven
Tiguan mmmmmmm, didnt do anything for me
Evoque ( gone right off the looks of it, after initially loveing it )
Hyandai Sante Fe ( new 2011 model, Nice drive and comfy, not keen on the interior )
Think thats all, though could be another 1 or 2 i have forgotten about

Needs to be as new as possible, ie nothing Classic .. See below !

Exactly. In another thread I was called a troll for suggesting the very same!

Doesn't answer your question, but how about keeping the E60 and buying a sportscar as well?

I don't think I've ever seen a list of brands so diverse. Considering a Kia and Hyundai right alongside a Range Rover and BMW!

I understand and have been thinking the same myself, with a wide budget between 20-30k alot of brands fall in there, some at the 20k mark and some more at the £29,995.
Ofcourse the less spent the better )
i/she will be living with this for 3-4 years so want to make the wright choice.
Nothing i have driven as yet has jumped out at me and said buy me, which keeps me going back to the E60 and saying just keep it, but to be honest its starting to show its age.

This will get you through winter as long as you fit winter tyres it'll give you the enjoyment of a sports car and the practicality of a hatchback!

this is why I heart Pistonheads, you just know the cars listed are what the heart wants, but the OP will end up with a KIA, which probably is a good white goods, but just want stir he soul, like a mistress of temptation, as some of the cars pictured.
