Have had an oak and glass sun room built on back of the house, its been up a few months, have treated it inside and out with danish oil, on the outside it has started to "silver" some people like this look but i don't,i want to keep it looking fresh/new is there a sealer or protector that i can put on that is clear and will do the job.

Unless you use many multiple coats of oil on the exterior it will silver - by many i mean 20+.

To keep looking fresh outside with minimal maintenance (it will always need some) you need to use a varnish/lacquer.

Now it has been oiled you are a bit limited to what you can apply as some finishes will react.

If in doubt use the name brands - a ronseal yacht varnish should be ok on top, but will need a few coats.

Don't fight it. Learn to love the weathered look. Eventually you will lose the battle to the elements.

Pity you have oiled it.
Sikkens Cetol HLS+ followed by 3 coats Filter7+
3 year decorating cycle thereafter with just the filter7+

Sikkens products are not cheap, probably best bought through your local Dulux centre rather than a DIY shed.

You can, I think, get a staining oil which will allow you to maintain the colour.
