RainX Anti fog - any good?
Discussion
Hi, yes I've used this before on the Triumph, a car that steams up VERY easily. (Leaky British car=condensation!) Seemed to work very well, need to re apply every few weeks, but the car, like I say, would steam up very easily. I didn't notice any glare at night, but you will have to buff it properly. Think of it like polishing a car, one cloth to buff on, one to buff off.
Also a word of warning, the stuff does squirt out quite easily if you aren't expecting it, and try not to get it onto interior plastics.
Hope this helps

Aren't RainX BRAKE supporters?
They certainly used to be, but I can't find any reference to Rain-X or their parent company ITW Global Brands on Brake's website any more. Perhaps the negative reception their sponsorship of Brake gave them made them have second thoughts. We can but hope.If they really are no longer sponsoring Brake then I'd be prepared to buy their products again, otherwise I remain ooot.
I had a look at the brake website (had a picture of a kid standing in the middle of a road, seemed a bit irresponsible) and judging by the amount of financial contributors, it'd take a lot more than not using rain-x to demonstrate ones displeasure.
To be fair to them, they seem to offer support to victims of road accidents which is commendable, but I can't agree with a great deal of what they have to say.
Anyway, back to condensation.
I used to have a moisture trap in the rear footwell of the old car which made a bit of a difference, however when I sold it I found a big puddle in the spare wheel well, I suspected a leaking roof aerial gasket or blocked sunroof channels.
Might be worth checking for leaks & trapped rainwater?
