Went out side to find the passenger door on my saxo has been screwdrivered at the lock. The scrote took the facia out of glove box left the ipod (old one i dont mind if it geta robbed) then failed to jimmy the cd player out. I mean total epic fail. Thinking of taking the cd player out and wiping faeces over it and leaving it on the roof.

Also leaving a note on the window.

I couldnt care less of the cd player its the fact the door is damaged now just as i was getting ready to sell frown

My old Saxo got done in the same way. Doesn't help that they're made from tin foil I guess!! Thankfully I had taken my CD player fascia away from the car that day, and after they'd searched the car for it (and not found it) they kindly left the headunit alone!

Back when I bought my Fiesta Zetec S years ago, someone had tried the lock with a screw driver. The barrel had been replaced but the plastic washer round the outside had broken. I remember the dealer saying that the plastic facia round the keyhold had just shrunk with age and cracked, which was rubbish. Still, lovely car, but it was a mk5, so the last good Fiesta Zetec S and probably one of the last cars TWOC'ers would be interested in.

I'm surprised anybody robs stereos anymore, considering they aren't that usually all that expensive and you can't just grab it like a tomtom etc.

Had the same done to my mums saxo as we were coming to sell, tried to screwdriver the drivers side, but we have those anti burst shields fitted. We got a screwdriver and a buggered lock. They got naff all.

So they did in the next door neighbours 5 door.

Quite funny trying to see them punch through the drivers window in the cctv and getting nowhere.

They'll probably come back for the head unit, would remove it for the time being if I were you to avoid more damage.

Never understood why people take the fascia off and leave it in the car, bloody lazy. Best way is to not just remove from car but leave glovebox open too.
