New bosch wipers just fitted and the driver's side one misses a hand-sized patch a third of the way up the glass, it's alright at 60-70 but anything much lower and there doesn't seem to be enough down force.

Anyone have any fixes that doesn't involve buying another wiper??

Recently swapped from the older bridged wipers to aero blades?

On the bottom of the wiper arm when it's lifted are two blocks the arm rests on, you can file these down a mm or so and it will allow the arm to rest closer to the screen, too much and it'll apply too much pressure and you'll knacker blades quickly.

Failing that you can adjust (read: bend) the wiper arms down to allow more contact.

I had to do both the above with aero wipers on my car, ended up swapping back to the old school style and now they're perfect!

Yeah aero ones.

The patch is around the middle of the blade so I'll try and give it a go bending it.

Googling around suggests there is plastic part on the driver wiper arm that you need to remove?

Can't see where exactly.

I got new wipers fitted recently, mine miss a small patch as well, ive been slowly bending the arm to get the proper cover, nearly done with it.

Bend the arm at the wiper towards you a touch each time till it's sorted. smile

I've just done that there, seems to have worked.

I was thinking that was 20 odd quid wasted so that's a plus.
