Yesterday I discovered I had a slow puncture and so I went to the tyre place today.
They found that I needed 4 new tyres.
OK, I'd like four of the same please - Goodyear Wranglers.
They check and a) they haven't got any and b) they are on back order with Goodyear, expected January 2012??
Anyway, for the most expedient solution, they fitted what they had four of - Kumho (cheaper).
I didn't ask to look before they were fitted, all I said was that they mustn't make the car too noisy on motorways and I was assured that they wouldn't as they had "road-biased tread as per the Goodyears".
The car drove home ok with the new tyres.
It wasn't until I got home that I looked at them and realised they're VERY UGLY- some wierd triangle shapes repeated all around the sidewalls!
Am I making too much of this, would anyone else be miffed?

If you`re that concerned about what your tyres look like, why did you not get a look at them BEFORE you had them fitted?

Look on the bright side - you've probably just doubled the value of your P38!
