OK

I've been a busy bee at the weekend - I've mapped out and driven the planned route - from the south to BBWF.

If you are interested post here !

The meeting place will be M40 J4 - 4th exit signed 'Aylesbury' A4010 - at next roundabout 1st exit.

There is a big car park on the right opposite cinema / Frankie & Bennies.

Meeting time will be 9:30 - departing at 10:00.

Route is 70 miles (no motorways at all !) - time for route is 2 ~ 2.25 hrs !

Planned arrival at BBWF is just after 12 noon.

The route is great - loads of uncrowded roads, lovely small vilages (to wake up !), thatched pubs, some great roads with good corners !

If anyone is staying at BBWF on Friday and fancy's a drive too - the M40 from Ettington is 45 mins to J4
- so you are welcome to join us too !

I won't be posting the route on here - but will hand them out on the day.

Post here if you want to join us !

Yes - 2 in direction of our travel.

Both in villages - so no problem.

All marked on the notes.

Are you tempted Michael ?

Sure - no problem .. you could meet at at the A40/B4009 junction (west of Aylesbury). My guess for time is 11:00 - we can swap mobile numbers ..

Nice thought .. might be a bit early for some .. we should be at BBWF just after 12.00 - plenty of time for in the evening !

Alan - What? To get them to flash? No way!

Steve - I am coming to BBWF and have been since early February when the date and location were fixed. Unfortunately, I can't stay overnight as I have a flight to catch on Sunday morning.

Rev-erend.
Did you make a note of the all important Optimax stations on your rekky of the route.
Perhaps if there's enough of us we could arrange to meet a tanker every so often.: :

Yes - I have a note of all petrol stations.

The only shell station on route is 45 miles from the start of the route.

Of course there's also one at the start of the route, might be a good idea for all to brim then so we all run out of juice together. The Shell garage is found by taking the next exit off the roundabout at junction 4 (i.e the one after A4010 Aylesbury) Go straight over first mini roundabout (after 50 yds) and Optimax can be found after only another 50 yds on yer left

Do you mean meeting up on the Sat morning ?

If so I should be up for this in either the blue 400 or the black 350 or both if I can persuade her to drive one !

Cheers
